Anchor Hanover has announced a ten year, £160m planned works contract with three energy, services and regeneration specialists.

ENGIE regeneration, Breyer Group and Fortem Solutions were selected following a tendering process to carry out a range of planned works across the country.

Winston Williams, Anchor Hanover’s Director of Property, said: “We’re pleased to be working with three leading groups to help us deliver our Planned Asset Maintenance and Investment Programme. As a not-for-profit charitable organisation we reinvest the money we make into our retirement properties and care homes in order to provide the high-quality services our customers want and expect.”

The programme of works – which is scheduled to commence this month – aims to prolong and enhance the condition of Anchor Hanover’s existing housing stock. It  also aims to support and prioritise the needs of customers, by ensuring they are living in high-quality, energy efficient and sustainable housing, within a safe environment.

The scope of work will include kitchen and bathroom replacements, electrical heating replacements, internal and external repairs – including roofs, pavements and car parking; as well as replacement windows and doors among other associated works.

To ensure their views were represented in the process, residents were invited to give their input during the tendering process.

Resident Linda Butler said: “I feel honoured to have been part of the tendering process. I thought that the Competitive Dialogue was particularly useful as the bidders were able to have a two-way conversation with residents on different scenarios and get grass level feedback on how they would react to different situations.”
