Athena Care Homes purchases 153-bed home from HC-One

Athena Care Homes has announced the acquisition of Avocet Court Care Home in Ipswich, Suffolk.

The 153-bed facility, which was formerly run by HC-One, becomes Athena’s fifth home.

An Athena Care Homes spokesperson said: “We’re excited to announce that we have recently expanded to five homes and welcome Avocet Court care home to the Athena family.

“Avocet Court Care Home is a multi-site home which brings many exciting new opportunities for us to grow and enhance the lives of our residents, enabling them to enjoy life to the full as individuals in happy, comfortable and safe surroundings.”

Mala Agarwal, Managing Director, and Mandy Jackson, Operations Director, accepted the keys for the care home following the completion of the deal.

Athena Care Homes is a family run operator with homes across East Anglia, including: Amberley Hall and Goodwins Hall in Kings Lynn, Norfolk, Aria Court in March, Cambridgeshire, and Ashlynn Grange in Peterborough, Cambridgeshire.
