The Bupa service will accommodate new residents and residents from the former Downlands Park care home in Haywards Heath.

“Our open day was a hit with residents and families alike – we had singing and dancing, a painting session and a lovely meal. We toasted the opening with bubbles and Pimms and are looking forward to welcoming new residents and helping them to make their home here.”

The 64-bed home, which provides nursing, residential and dementia care, includes a cinema and beauty salon and special landscaped gardens that overlook wildlife habitat, Beech Hurst Gardens.

Patti added: “Supporting people with dementia is a key part of our work at The Goldbridge and we’re keen to work closely with families and other healthcare professionals to further enhance our services. Bringing people together through the grand opening is very much part of that effort – hopefully, it will help to raise awareness locally of the different ways in which we can all improve life for those living with and affected by dementia.”
