Care home firms in the spotlight for failing to disclose gender pay gap
Three care home providers are among 47 organisations who have failed to meet the legal requirement of publishing gender pay gap information.
Abbotsford Care (Glenrothes) Limited, Homes Caring for Autism Limited and Roseberry Care Centres are among the organisation that have been contacted by the Equality and Human Rights Commission for failing to comply with the legal requirement following March and April deadlines.
Equality and Human Rights Commission CEO, Rebecca Hilsenrath, said: “Transparency is a vital first step if we are to achieve gender equality in the workplace.

“All employers with 250 or more employees are legally required to publish their gender pay gap where everyone can see it.
“There’s no excuse for missing the deadline and we will be making sure that all employers that haven’t published their figures are held to account.”
Organisations with 250 or more employees are required to publish their gender pay gap information each year on their website.
The deadline to do so is midnight on 30 March for public sector employers and midnight on 4 April for private and voluntary sector employers.
In total, 10,753 organisations have reported their gender pay gaps for this year.
