Care home management software provider, CoolCare, has chosen the Alzheimer’s Society as its official charity partner following a company-wide vote.

Matt Burgoyne, Software Developer, (pictured centre) alongside team members Diane Hope (to left) and Helen Chermside (to right), will take a leading role in CoolCare’s support of the Alzheimer’s Society as CoolCare’s “Charity Champion”, ensuring the business has a full programme of activity throughout the year to ensure the opportunities to support the society are maximised.

“I look forward to helping generate funds and raise awareness for the Alzheimer’s Society, who do fantastic work,” Matt said.

“It is such an under-discussed topic, particularly considering that by 2025, 1m people in the UK will have dementia.  So little is known about this devastating disease and we hope that CoolCare’s support goes some way in helping to promote public awareness and support Alzheimer’s Society’s vital work in research and service provision.”

Julie Lee, Community Fundraiser – West Yorkshire at Alzheimer’s Society, added: “We are looking forward to working with CoolCare over the coming year. It’s thanks to the support from companies such as CoolCare that we are able to raise awareness and much needed funds to support the many people affected by dementia.”
