Healthcare Homes Group has appointed Laura Adams as manager of Home Meadow care home in Toft, near Cambridgeshire.

The experienced care specialist, who began her career as a care assistant 15 years ago, joined the home in November.

Laura said: “Having read about Home Meadow, and the wider Healthcare Homes Group, I felt that the values of the organisation mirrored my own and that with a clear a focus on residents, this was somewhere I could make a real contribution.

“The home is already performing well, rated as ‘good’ in all areas by the CQC. I don’t just want to maintain this, I want to build on it so we can enhance the services we already offer and ensure that we continue to provide a home that is based entirely on resident wellbeing.

“We have a number of opportunities for new team members to join us and I would encourage anyone who is passionate about care and looking to make a difference to those we support, to get in touch and find out more.”

Having worked as a senior carer, team leader and deputy manager, Laura was promoted to management roles and soon specialised in turning homes round that were in need of improvement. In her most recent role, she worked across Hertfordshire, providing support and best practice advice for homes that were looking to make positive changes to areas of their service.
