Ideal Carehomes celebrates Good CQC rating double in November

Staff and residents at two Ideal Carehomes are celebrating after two Yorkshire care homes gained Good ratings from the CQC in November.

Newfield Lodge in Castleford and Greenacres in Huddersfield were praised for their service after their unannounced inspections.

Lynn Robinson, General Manager at Newfield Lodge, said: “We are absolutely thrilled to have upheld our Good rating by the CQC. It’s fantastic to have such high praise for our brilliant team. They always put the residents’ needs first and we were delighted to read their glowing feedback in the report.”

Sarah Tomczynski, Care Manager at Greenacres, added: “The result really is testament to the hard work and dedication of our team, who consistently go above and beyond to ensure that our residents have the quality of care they deserve.”

Inspectors praised Newfield Lodge for creating an environment where residents felt safe and supported in making decisions about their daily lives. The staff were also commended on their teamwork, with the report stating that “the whole staff team, not just the care staff, were friendly and cheerful taking time to stop and chat with people”.

Greenacres was also said to give it residents “maximum choice and control of their lives” and “were involved in their care planning to ensure their choices were reflected”. Inspectors praised staff for being “kind, caring and compassionate”.

Ideal Carehomes enjoys Good ratings at all its Yorkshire homes, which include Ashworth Grange in Dewsbury, Lydgate Lodge in Batley, Ebor Court in York and Hambleton Grange in Thirsk.
