NCF Rising Stars meet Care Minister, Caroline Dinenage

The latest cohort of NCF Rising Stars have been invited to attend a roundtable with Care Minister Caroline Dinenage.

The group of care leaders have been selected for the Rising Stars programme by their organisations for being real movers within their teams who are committed to creating change and leadership.

The Rising Stars shared their stories of how they joined their organisations as care workers, bank staff or cleaners and moved their way up the care career ladder.

In addition, the group and the Minister discussed manager innovations to support care deliver and the daily challenges they face. They also shared their ambitions for their services and the sector as a whole.

Ms Dinenage reflected on the recent #everydayisdifferent recruitment campaign and the role of care in supporting people to live as independently as possible with personal care support.

The Minister complimented the managers on their infectious passion and drive for delivering care.

The Rising Stars were selected from: Abbeyfield Society, Amica Care Trust, Avante Care and Support, The Fremantle Trust, Friends of the Elderly, GuildCare, NorseCare, Optalis, Pilgrims’ Friends Society, The Salvation Army and St Monica Trust.
