Oak Retirement nears completion of £35m luxury development

A £35m luxury retirement development is set for completion in January.

Friary Meadow in Titchfield, Hampshire, a joint venture between Oak Retirement and real estate fund manager Frogmore, will feature 86 luxury homes, including apartments, bungalows and townhouses.

Dr Stephen Ladyman, founder of Oak Retirement and a former Minister of Health responsible for Social Care, said: “It’s a very exciting time at Friary Meadow with completion now on the horizon so this is the time to visit and hear about the deals available for people who reserve off-plan.”

Friary Meadow is based on the ‘extra-care’ living model, as recommended by the Department of Health, which aims at giving older people the opportunity to retain their independence for longer, including their financial independence, by enabling them to own their own properties, thereby protecting their equity.

Construction was launched in June last year, during an official ground-breaking ceremony attended by the former Mayor of Fareham, Councillor Geoff Fazackarley and former Mayoress, Tina Fazackarley.
