Providers urged to attend Care England conference

Chair, Avnish Goyal, has urged all independent care providers to attend this year’s Care England conference and exhibition.

Held on November 13 at Church House Conference Centre in Westminster, Workforce Matters, will shine a light on the social care workforce and the steps that it is taking to meet the challenges of effective care delivery in today’s economic climate.

Avnish (pictured) said: “Every provider will tell you that workforce matters. We need to invest in the right resources to be able to recruit and retain the workforce of today and of tomorrow.  The social care workforce is highly skilled and as such needs to be valued accordingly.

“I would encourage all providers to attend Care England’s conference as it will be a unique opportunity to glean useful information and practices from the esteemed speakers, network with other delegates on the topics that are going to be the important challenge to the sector as we enter the next decade of the 21st century.”

This year’s speaker line-up includes Kate Terroni, Chief Inspector of Adult Social Care at CQC, Rachel Smith, Head of Business Systems and Management Information at Orchard Care Homes, and Alyson Scurfield, Chief Executive, TEC Services Association.

Professor Martin Green OBE, Chief Executive of Care England, added: “This is a conference for the whole sector.  It will deliver practical advice for all levels of management and, in keeping with previous years, it will be CPD accredited.   Workforce Matters will further underline how a skilled and dedicated workforce sits at the centre of exemplary care.”
