A quality drive at care home provider Runwood Homes has reaped rewards with three home being upgraded from ‘requires improvement’ to good.

Loganberry Lodge in Colchester, Westwood in Worksop and Park View in Warwick have all been rated ‘good’ by the CQC in the last three months.

Chief Operating Officer, Gavin O’Hare-Connolly, said: “We are committed to implementing robust service enhancement plans in any of our homes performing below the requirements we expect, to realise a positive, rapid and maintained change in standards, and we are pleased to evidence the outcome of our team’s hard work in improved CQC reports.”

In addition to the triple success, Runwood’s Chelmunds Court was taken out of special measures in January (see Runwood Homes service comes out of special measures).

Commenting on progress at Chelmunds Court, Gavin said: “The new CQC rating gives absolute credence to the hard work the entire team have put in to see the service improve, with an onward improvement plan firmly in place to achieve ‘good’ across the board.  Relatives and professional visitors continue to convey a sense of satisfaction and residents enjoy living at Chelmunds Court.”
