Social care professionals learn to harness digital technology
Social care professionals have learnt how to harness digital technology at the #TechForCare event in Greenwich, London.
Hosted by Tech for Care, in partnership with the Royal Borough of Greenwich, the event was designed to help social care professionals embrace technology.
Tech for Care founder Mohammed Gbadamosi said: “The event was a great success. Keeping this in view, Tech for Care is in discussion with more local authorities to actively organise more such events throughout the UK in 2019.”
The conference highlighted the various aspects and benefits of adopting state-of-the-art technologies for the social care industry and showcased technology already on offer.
Talks were delivered by technology experts and seminars on interoperability, data protection, provider perspectives on technology, change management, recruitment and marketing in a digital age.
Speakers included David James, Head of Adult Social Care Policy, Care Quality Commission, Taffy Gatawa, Chief Information and Compliance Officer at everyLIFE Technologies, and James Drake, Royal Borough of Greenwich, Commissioner.
There were also product demonstrations and interactive sessions. Each talk was followed by a Q&A session to address any concerns that social care sector representatives might have.
