Two Elizabeth Finn Homes awarded Platinum status for End of Life Care

Elizabeth Finn Homes Grove Court, Woodbridge, Suffolk and Halliwell in Tunbridge Wells, Kent have been awarded Platinum status for End of Life care, following a re-accreditation.

The two homes completed the full National Gold Standards Framework (GSF) over the last nine months, embedded into the homes for at least six months before undertaking the accreditation process, Going for Gold.

The accreditation process includes, assessment against 20 clear standards of best practice; reviewing the care of residents using the After Death Analysis Audit Tool and Quality Assessment Visit – reviewing the integration of the processes into everyday practice.

To be recognised as the highest level, a Beacon, a home must show innovative and established good practice across at least 12 of the standards.

To highlight sustained excellent practice, GSF will award homes that achieve re-accreditation with a Platinum status.

An extract from one of the reports reads:

“The Leadership team are passionate about GSF and ensuring that residents and their loved ones get high quality care from the minute they have contact with the home to bereavement. The passion from the team is reflected in the passion of the staff.”
