York firms deliver West Sussex Bupa care home

York firms DWA Architect and WA Consulting Engineers have delivered a new specialist Bupa care home in Haywards Heath, West Sussex.

The 64-bed care home provides nursing, residential and dementia care and features a cinema, beauty salon and special landscaped gardens that overlook wildlife habitat, Beech Hurst Gardens.

David Ward, Managing Director of DWA Architects, said: “This has been a terrific project to work on and to see it come to fruition.  It’s a state-of-the art care home with a range of features and specialist care facilities.”

Other members of the team which helped to deliver this major project include project managers Henry Riley, quantity surveyors Gardiner and Theobald and interior designers Lusted Green.

With over 30 years’ experience, DWA Architects has worked on over 400 care homes across the UK and abroad.

General Manager of the home, Patti Vogan said: “The Goldbridge heralds a new era in elderly care in Sussex, providing people with spacious accommodation and living areas that encourage independent living in a care home setting.

“The feedback we’ve had from residents since the move has been very positive.”
