Barchester marks construction milestones for care homes

Barchester Healthcare has marked construction milestones for two care homes in Sherborne, Dorset and Solihull in the West Midlands.

‘Topping out’ ceremonies were held for the 64-bed Trinity Manor Care Home in Sherborne (pictured), and the 80-bed Fountains Care Home in Solihull.

Trinity Manor, which will provide residential and dementia care for older people, is set to open its doors in December 2019. The home is being built by Acheson Construction Ltd.

The luxury home will feature private dining areas, summer and drinks lounges, a large terrace, a life skills kitchen, an activities room with interactive, multi-sensory dementia facilities, a cinema room, en-suite bedrooms with smart TVs, spa bathrooms, in house hair salon, and Wi-Fi available in all parts of the home.

Fountains Care Home, which will also provide residential and dementia care for older people, is set to open its doors in January 2020.

The home, which is being built by Seddon, will feature private dining facilities, a choice of lounges, spa bathrooms, a life-skills kitchen, a large terrace, an in-house hair salon, a café, and en-suite bedrooms. A daily life enrichment programme with an array of tailored activities, a concierge service and nutritious seasonal meals will also be provided services at the home.
