Scottish care home group Balhousie has appointed Ann Poulton as manager of its Forth View care home in Methil, eastern Scotland.

Ann, who brings a wealth of experience in healthcare management, comes to the 55-bed home after working in the Middle East as a Director of Nursing in Saudi Arabia and Bahrain, where she helped open and manage new hospitals over the course of 19 years.

“I’m thrilled to be back in Scotland and am very much enjoying being part of the team at Forth View,” Ann said. “This is a wonderful group of staff and a lovely set of residents and relatives.”

Originally from Glasgow, where she trained as a General Nurse, Ann settled in Fife where she undertook Midwifery and new born Intensive Care training. She worked in Forth Park Hospital for 22 years before moving to the Middle East.

Ann plans several community initiatives at the home after taking up her post, including a Christmas Carol Concert on December 23.

Balhousie Forth View features 55 bedrooms, all with en-suite bedrooms, two comfortable resident lounges, two elegant dining rooms and a further two ‘day’ dining rooms.
