A new luxury residential and dementia care home in Wetherby will create 50 jobs for local people.

The two floor, 66-bed, Windsor Court, which is being built by LNT Care Developments, is due to open early next year.

Paula Mountjoy, who is overseeing all recruitment including Deputy Managers, Care Assistants, the Kitchen Team, domestic, hospitality and administration staff, said: “It is so exciting to be with Windsor Court right from the start and to be recruiting our caring staff team.  I am extremely keen to promote care as a positive career choice with plenty of progression for the right people.

“I am regularly visiting our new home to keep an eye on the progress and I have actually been inside for the first time this week which was brilliant!  We will have an amazing building to work in so once I have my full staff team, everything will be in place to provide a great place to live for our future residents.”

Sarah Clark, who works as a Care Assistant for another Ideal home said: “Working for Ideal Carehomes is everything I thought it would be and more. The focus is person-centred care – helping people to care for themselves and me being able to care for them. There are not many jobs you can say you look forward to going to and when I leave, I feel like I have made a difference.”

Windsor Court will be holding an open day in January 2019 where local residents can come along to meet the staff team and have a look round the home’s state-of-the-art facilities.
